For some people University is like a stage between points A and B, for some people it’s like a book which consists interesting (or sometimes boring) pages. For me studying and being in Tartu wasn’t only a learning process, but something more. This period of being abroad alone in a different country helped me to see the world from a different angle.

Firstly, you live alone in a place where you don’t know anyone, where every corner is new and where the language sounds scary and interesting at the same time; as you have to solve different issues all by yourself while taking care of everyday life. Secondly, in the environment where you meet hundreds of people from different countries with their individuality and opinions on different aspects, you realize how diverse the world is; while wider point of view gives you the opportunity to compare and get new ideas. Thirdly, as you realize how small the world is, you jump into the ocean of opportunities which pushes you into the deep thinking process which way to choose.

In my opinion, every person should experience this at some point of their life and I’m happy that I did it, as it gives you an opportunity to stand up, give questions, be critical and create your own perspective instead of being directed in the “right” direction. And I’m thankful that I met each and every one of you, as you all contributed.
